Giving my writing “children” back to God in overflowing love and gratitude

Although I haven’t had the privilege of being a mother, Lord God has graciously enabled me to give birth to spiritual creations and launch them into the world for his kingdom purposes. In response, I echo Hannah’s love-filled offering: “I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of him. So now I give him to the Lord. For his whole life he will be given over to the Lord” (1 Samuel 1:27-28, NIV).

Jennifer was born with cerebral palsy. That hasn't stopped her from taking many leaps of faith!

From 1993 to 1996, Jennifer made seven tandem skydives. One of her leaps of faith was at 15,000 feet.

She adopted the nickname JJJHeck. It captures both her season of skydiving and her joyful personality. JJJ stands for "Joyous Jumping Jennifer."

Building Bridges

Jennifer attended a class on

evangelism at her church in the early 2000s, taught by one of the pastors. He asked people to create a mission statement for their lives.

The Holy Spirit led Jennifer to passionately write and live this:

"My mission in life is to break barriers between people and build bridges to God. Everyone needs to know Jesus Christ, grow in their faith and use their God-given gifts for his glory."
